Please have this ready

  • a valid ID (passport or ID card);
  • your BSN (burgerservicenummer), the personal number you get when you register with your Dutch municipality;
  • your health insurance details;
  • the name and address of your previous GP, if you had one.

We need your BSN to register you. Don’t have one yet? Please get in touch with us and we will tell you what to do.

How to register

1Fill in the form online (preferred).

Go to our registration form. You can switch the form to English. Please fill in a separate form for each family member.

2Can’t use the online form?

You can pick up a paper registration form at the reception desk at Beijnenstraat 2.

3We review your registration.

Once it has been approved, you will receive a confirmation, usually by email within 72 hours. We will then ask your previous GP for your medical records. Please also let your previous GP know that you are leaving.

Health insurance and costs

If you live or work in the Netherlands, you are usually required to take out Dutch health insurance. Your employer can tell you more, or see Government.nl.

With Dutch health insurance, GP visits are covered and do not count towards your annual deductible (in Dutch: eigen risico, the amount you pay yourself each year before your insurer pays; €385 for adults in 2026). Tests, medicines or hospital care that your GP arranges may count towards it. Please check with your health insurer what applies to you.

No Dutch health insurance? For example, if you have international or private insurance, you can still register with us. We will send you an invoice, or you can pay by debit card at the practice. Please tell us when you register.

How the Dutch system works

Your GP treats most health problems. If you need a specialist or hospital care, your GP will refer you. Without a referral, your health insurer will usually not pay for specialist care.

Appointments and phone

We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00 (8 am to 5 pm). Call 070 386 8865 (from a non-Dutch phone: +31 70 386 8865) to make an appointment or ask a question. The phone menu is also available in English. Our medical assistant will ask you a few short questions (triage), so that you see the right person at the right time.

Urgent care

  • Life-threatening emergency: call 112.
  • Urgent, during opening hours: call 070 386 8865 and press 1.
  • Evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays: call the out-of-hours GP service Hadoks on 070 346 96 69. Always call before you go.

Repeat prescriptions and online services

Once you are registered, you can use MijnGezondheid.net (website and app). There you can order repeat prescriptions, send us a question and view parts of your medical record. You log in with DigiD, the Dutch government’s digital ID for online services.

No DigiD yet? You can order repeat prescriptions by phone, 24 hours a day: call 070 386 8865 and press 3. You can leave your message in English. Please say:

  • your name and date of birth;
  • the name of the medicine, its strength (mg per tablet) and how often you take it;
  • how many tablets you need;
  • the name of your pharmacy, and whether you would like the medicine delivered.

If you order before 11:00, your medicine will be ready at your pharmacy two days later, from 15:00. This applies to repeat prescriptions only.
